ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
THE ADVENTURE UNFOLDS
My name is Antonio Carrasco and I am originally from New Orleans. At the age of 18, I hopped on an Amtrak train with $100 in my pocket and came to California to pursue my dream. Problem was that I wasn't quite sure what that dream was, but I knew I wanted to do something big. College seemed like a good idea at the time, so I signed up for film school in San Francisco, but experimented with still photography as a hobby. Upon leaving film school, I decided to pursue a career in photography, while also incorporating the cinematic lighting and film noir image style from my film background. So naturally the next step was to move to LA.
ACHIEVING GREATNESS
In Los Angeles, I put in constant work to develop my photographic technique and visual style. I built a solid body of work in fashion and beauty photography while shooting iconic images of models in different locations around Los Angeles. My work started to get noticed and my photos got published in Billboard Magazine, Anchorage Daily News and other print publications. Then I launched a business specializing in headshots for actors and business. Before long, I was doing over 100 photo shoots a year.
THE NEXT LEVEL
Now I am ready to apply my obsessive work ethic and unique vision to the world of fitness and bodybuilding. The drive and perseverance I see in successful bodybuilders and fitness models are what attracted me to this niche and their dedication is not unlike the work I put in to become a successful photographer. It is through focus, motivation and determination that all things are possible.
